When did you realize you were really in labor?
Unfortunately I had to be induced so I didn't have a chance to go through the natural process of labor

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The contraction pain after my bag of waters was broken. Also being able to feel all of the cervical stretching my doctor did every few hours.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Lots of excercises and having an educated coach and support team by my side

What surprised you about your birth?
I didn't realize that the baby had to be at a certain station regardless of your dilation or effacement status, in order to come out.

To not give up and to not focus on how long it's going to take. I let myself get caught up in that spell a few times where I wasn't sure if I could keep on going through the pain without knowing how much longer it was going to be before my baby is born. Also really work on being able to calm yourself down and tune into what the people around you are saying to try and let them distract and guide you.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Breathing, warm water in the shower, having a hand to hold, and honestly for me making a lot of noise and not holding it in

Shocking and wonderful

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
To not give up and to not focus on how long it's going to take.
