When did you realize you were really in labor?
At exactly 38 weeks 5 days.. I started getting some brown and red discharge continuously and after that came in mild contractions

My first one was a c-section. So I was almost certain the second one will also be a c section..

The prenatal class and all the weekly updates from mama natural... Definitely kept me going in the right path

What surprised you about your birth?
After researching VBAC, I thought it was almost impossible to have one now with my age doctors and hospital.. I had my C section scheduled and just for info went to prenatal class.. I was certain doc would not agree for normal birth and even if he did I might end up with emergency c.. But glad me and my hubby made it through in the hospital with the vbac

Make sure to trick your mind... Discuss strategies with partner.. Doctor etc... Even if they say initially they are not for vbac... They might agree based on your progress through labor

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Heat pad.. Rocking.. Pain killer like nubain and at least the epidural..

Absolutely blissful...
