  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

    I started to labor on the fourth of July.

  • What was the most challenging thing about going natural?

    After having done it once it wasn't a challenge at all. I'd say for the first though it was getting my parents on board with my decision.

  • What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?

    I read an endless a month of information starting in my teens about childbirth and my options. I was very confident in every decision and knew what suited me best.

  • What surprised you about your birth?

    My waters didn't break till baby was almost out.

  • Educate yourself. Nobody can tell you what is best for you. It is in your best interest to put in the work yourself to know your options that way nothing can sneak up on you.
  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

    Movement and focus on the end goal.

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

    On my back on the bed. Funny as I was at home and not in a hospital.

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    Worth it!

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

    Educate yourself. Nobody can tell you what is best for you. It is in your best interest to put in the work yourself to know your options that way nothing can sneak up on you.
