  1. Where do you find that comfrey is safe during pregnancy? All of my research has showed me otherwise. Just curious.

  3. – I think it is the firelight and not your face; I think those are books against the wall, and that a drape, and that maybe a rocker. Yet, when you come everything changes. The cups and saucers changed when you came in toward the beginning of today. There can be question, I thought, shoved aside the paper, that our mean lives, unattractive as they are, put on wonder and have meaning just under the eyes of affection.

  4. Sorry you went through that. 🙁 I believe the labor day tea is for trying to start labor near your due date, but not for during labor itself. T

There are also many other reasons that contractions could have slowed, and likely nothing you could control. Just mentioning that because I would never want you to think that it was something you did that lead to that experience.

  5. Hi, I have seen quite a few women say that this tea made their contractions “worse” is that to say that they are stronger and more intense? Or just more painful? Thanks!

  6. Hi i was wondering if you could use a different nut milk instead of coconut milk

  7. Not sure if I’ll get a response on this, but just wondering how long is good to drink the labor day tea if one doesn’t seem to be going into labor? I’m going on day 3 of the labor day recipe today, at 38w 5d, because I have a scheduled induction in 6 days. Trying to get things going naturally, but I don’t want to overdo it with the tea.

  8. Can I use fairlife instead of coconut milk?

  9. If I’m being induced early at 38w + 1d due to hypertension, when should or could I start drinking the Labor Day tea? I’ve just bought my first batch of traditional medicine raspberry leaf tea and I’m remarkably pleased with the flavor since I can’t stand fruity teas and I’ve tried to keep away from my dear, dear caffeinated black teas throughout this pregnancy!

  10. I’ve been making mine like a chai tea! ? My husband gave me the splendid idea of cinnamon, coconut milk, honey and vanilla. I add redi whip on the top with a sprinkle of cinnamon to help me feel fancy. It’s my new favorite drink and I’ll keep it in my collection post-pardom and beyond!

  11. I’m due in about a week. Just starting the tea now. It says on the box can have 3-4 times a day. But reading here twice? Wondering how much I can have it also if the 4 is ok can I just do twice a day and double bag it?

    • Yes! That sounds like a perfect plan! Hope it helps!

  12. How many cups of the pregnancy tea blend is ok per day? I am currently 29 weeks pregnant. Still nauseas 24/7 looking for soothing fluids to try and drink.

    • 2-4 cups per day is usually what is suggested. Hope it helps!

  13. Please change written recipe for Labor Day Tea! 🙂

  14. I am currently at 33 weeks and Ive been “aiming” to try my RRL tea that is just waiting for me at the pantry. Can I drink it now? Cant wait for another week ?

  15. I’m confused about the difference of the ratios of tea to water between the Labor Day recipe in the video and typed out in the blog post. Which one is correct? I’m 40 weeks and looking to start making it!

  16. I wish I would have watched the video for the Labor Day tea and used 3 quarts of water rather than following the recipe that’s written out. I ended up with 24 tea bags worth of tea in 8 oz of water after simmering. I can drink strong tea but this is nauseating! Please change the written recipe so others don’t waste all of their tea, time and money!

    • Oops, we’ll check out the written recipe. In the meantime you can dilute the tea with more water.

      • You still haven’t updated the written recipe. It should be 6 cups of water for 1 1/2 cups (or 24 bags) of tea.

        • Thank you for posting this! I’ve never seen the video and mine is simmering right now! Going to add water asap lol

        • Thank you, Kristy!

  17. If I go into labour before my due date eg from 37 weeks, could i make the labor tea as soon as labor starts and drink it during labour? Or could I have a jar of it ready in the fridge made in advance? Would it last a week or two in the fridge and then I can warm it up on the day. Or perhaps I freeze a premade batch and warm up on the stove when labour starts? I doubt I will make it to 40 weeks.

    • You wouldn’t need to drink the tea if you’re already in labor. If you’re at risk for preterm birth it’s best to speak to your OB or midwife before consuming.

  18. Would the coconut milk be the canned or cartoon?

  19. Hi, my due date was yesterday and I’ve been drinking the labour day tea since Wednesday (well one box/21 bags of the Traditional Medicinals red raspberry tea). I’ve heard it can be strong. Should I take a a break for a few days or keep drinking it? Thank you!

  20. Heres another recipe
i followed the directions for the sweet tea but also added some fresh raspberries to the jug and made a pitcher of it, then added the orange juice when i poured myself a glass this morning. i then added a small can of ginger ale (you could use sprite or 7up as well).
you can also use other fruits. I’ve only tried the raspberries as well as strawberries but im sure it would be good with other berries/fruit.
i usually fill my water bottle and sip it throughout the day to make sure im getting my 2 cups.

  21. I’d love to send over another recipe I just created for the holiday season especially. It’s delish!

    4oz Water
    4 oz Unsweetened Oak Milk
1 tbsp Red Raspberry Leaf Tea (organic)
1/2-1 tbsp honey (depending on desired sweetness)
    hefty shake of ground cinnamon

Bring water, oat milk and honey all together to a boil and whisk throughout. Then pour into your extra large mug, add tea holder of red raspberry leaf tea and let steep for 10 or so minutes. Top with ground cinnamon, give it one more whisk and enjoy!

    • Feeling festive today, going to try this out today! 🙂

  22. This tea is amazing!! I started drinking it when I was 18 weeks pregnant (first pregnancy). All though my labor was not ideal (18 hrs) due to being induced but pushing my son into this world happened within 25-30 mins. I believe the tea played a huge part along with my uterus shrinking.

  23. For me, the Raspberry Leaf Tea did de opposite effect. I drank it since 34 weeks of pregnancy, daily. And then for labor, I drank the labor tea recipe, the contractions went down, and needed to go to the hospital and also pitocin. 🙁

    • (Admins feel free to delete my other comment, it didn’t submit as a reply)

Sorry you went through that. 🙁 I believe the labor day tea is for trying to start labor near your due date, but not for during labor itself.

There are also many other reasons that contractions could have slowed, and likely nothing you could control. Just mentioning that because I would never want you to think that it was something you did that lead to that experience.

  24. Will the tea still work as well if you water it down but still drink it within the day? Or do you have to drink the really concentrated tea?

  25. Hi- I was following your recipe for labor day tea, but I don’t think your measurements are right. In your video you do 3 cups loose leaf tea to 3 quarts of water which equals 12 cups. Your recipe on this page calls for 1.5 cups loose leaf to 4 cups of water. I did this, and I hardly got one cup full of tea when I strained it; I feel like I wasted all my tea I bought and it’s way too potent 🙁 If you split the recipe from your video then it would actually be 1.5 cups loose leaf to 6 cups of water, not 4. I’m confused why there are two different recipes and why the one listed here is so different than your video.

  26. Hello! Thank you for the recipes. I made the “sweet tea” recipe and didn’t drink all of it in a day and put it in a covered mason jar in the fridge. When I went to drink it today there was a murky milky layer on the bottom of the jar. Am I supposed to shake the tea to drink it or did something grow in the tea overnight? Thank you.

    • Totally normal, just shake it up!

      • Thank you so much!

    • Thank you for the recipe! My midwife and other sources say to steep the tea blend with alfalfa, oat straw, nettle, and peppermint for up to 12 hours for additional extraction of vitamins and minerals

  27. Thanks for this Labor Recipe! I drank it for two days and went into labor the third day! Baby was born the day after on his due date. Worked for me or maybe it was a coincidence but honestly, I had no labor symptoms until the night of the second day of drinking so I feel like it really helped. Baby must have been ready and got the memo to come out!

  28. Just wondering if taking RRL capsules is the same as drinking the tea? I have drank the tea in the past and really enjoyed it but this pregnancy the taste bothers me.
