Frankly, even I’m surprised by what’s inside this. It still all seems a little unreal. Sometimes I wonder, WHAT AM I DOING?

Congrats! I just looked at the Three things for Thursday email and saw you mention being pregnant – so I rushed over here to check it out. That’s so exciting! I am also due around the end of September. This time around, your book is out and I’ve enjoyed reading through it so much. Oh my goodness! Congratulations!!!! I could cry!!! I just gave birth to my third baby a month ago (second boy). Like you the journey to my 3rd baby was a tough one. I had miscarried the month before becoming pregnant with him. We really felt God was telling us that their was another child for our family, which made miscarrying so confusing. We had just told the kids and announced to everyone when it happened. Having to live through those emotions publicly was difficult but also healing. Deciding to try again right away was very difficult. Before we even knew I was pregnant again God gave me the name Silas. I asked my husband, “if we do go on to have another baby and it’s a boy, can we name him Silas?” We did go on to have a boy! The pregnancy was difficult emotionally and physically. The labor was difficult. To be honest, I was afraid, which made everything harder. However, he is the sweetest baby. My older two absolutely love him. I am feeling more and more like our family is complete, maybe! Blessings to your family! Praying for you and your little one!!!!

I LOVE your story! I am also due at the end of September (23rd is 40 weeks) and God has everything to do with it (I will be 42 on September 21st). I am carrying twins right now and it is my first pregnancy (and last). I know I am having a boy and a girl and every day I thank The Lord for the gifts he has given me, I have had type 1 diabetes for about 30 years and have challenges but everything is going well for a natural birth, following the Weston Price Principles helps a lot too. I will keep you in my prayers! I am so happy for you all! 🙂

Omg I’m so happy for you and your family!! We have 4 children, 3 girl’s and finely a boy who just turned 1 in March. As crazy as it sounds I’ve been feeling like I want to try for 1 more! I’m 36 and all of my pregnancies and labors but the last one have been pretty much wonderful. I had a PPH with my last which was very scary. I’m praying that it doesn’t happen again . My mom made me promise her I wouldn’t have anymore but my heart wants another baby.

I too am pregnant and 40! It is a totally different ballgame than in my 30’s. Lord help us! I am lifting you and your precious gift up in prayer.

I’m so happy for you, Genevieve! I am working through your birth courses and bought your book alongside the pregnancy of my second baby. Oftentimes, I feel like I’m the only 42 year old in the world! I read all the beautiful birth stories on the FB forum and sometimes wonder if the amazing outcomes are related to having babies at a younger age than mine, creating a bit of unwanted doubt about my own upcoming experience. I’m excited to see how you navigate this pregnancy, as I’m sure the world will learn from it! Thank you for your honesty and transparency. You encourage us all. I, too, suffered a miscarriage before this pregnancy, and it was a very dark time in my life, but now I feel grateful because it has opened my heart to help others who find themselves in the same dark place, just as others did for me.

Congratulations! I’m also expecting #3 and am due late November! I look forward to the text updates every week that I get from you. My mother had #5 when she was 43, and the only complication was that she had high blood pressure at the very end. She had a natural, non-medicated birth and all went well!

SINUS pressure! That’s been my #1 complaint this pregnancy too (#2 at age 38), next to acid reflux. I have something natural for you to try, it has helped me a lot since I got them. Buy MigraineX at your pharmacy or Amazon has them. Your ears are a big part of your sinues obviously and when the weather pressure changes even slightly, it can give you horrible headaches/sinus pressure, especially with our swollen nasal passages from pregnancy. I pop in the MigraineX earplugs when I feel it coming on or it’s already taken hold, and within minutes (ok maybe like 20) my headache and sinus pressure subsides. Try them and I pray they work for you! Ps: congratulations and praise Jesus for our babies!!

Congratulations! This is such exciting news! My husband and I have four littles and we felt that He gave us vision (and names) for our family and our children years before we were even trying to get pregnant. Now they’re all here (ages 8, 6, 4 and 18m….whew!)! It’s a fun crazy, wild ride! Your videos and blogs have been so wonderful for our family!

I was pregnant with my first when you were pregnant with Paloma-You giving birth in November, and me in December and now you are due just about a month before I am again! I am due end of October! My mom had child number 8 at age 37. You can do this.
I have so many friends that gave birth in their 40’s! YOU CAN!
I’m secretly jealous of my friends who turn 60 and have teenagers at home! WHAT A BLESSING!!!

We had three losses (one at 16 weeks) I know your pain. So glad you and your soon to be rainbow baby are well. I am 40 and have a 6 month old (our 4th child). Age is just a number. Rock on Mama!

So happy for you! Love your video. So glad you have strong faith in our Lord. Also I have been dealing with the sinus thing for a couple years and trying different things and finally I found something that has helped clear it up. Oregamax. It is a mixture of wild oregano, Rhus berry (mountain berry) and garlic. I take 2-3 3X a day. It is wonderful. Maybe you can look in to it. God bless you and your family!!

I am 41 years old, 30 weeks pregnant with our third child, and your website has been an absolute blessing to me during this pregnancy! We had a miscarriage last September which was really, really tough. We were fortunate enough to get pregnant again shortly thereafter, and I can completely relate to needing time for yourself before you shared your news with your family, friends and the rest of the world 🙂 We waited to share our news too, I just really needed time to be at peace with this pregnancy before we could. Congratulations!!!! I’m so excited for you!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful news and your faith. You can do this!! I had my youngest baby (now 20 months) when I was 43. Peppermint essential oil (on a cloth), ginger gum, and spending LOTS of time in the tub and the pool helped me get through the pregnancy. I am incredibly grateful that I was able to give birth naturally at a birth center with the help of my doula & midwife. However, in my case complications from severe pelvic vein incompetence and diastasis recti during the pregnancy & birth and then a postpartum hemmorhage and a DVT that left me bedridden for 7 months made it a tough journey. This was my 8th pregnancy (two babies lost to miscarriages) and 7th live birth (8th living child including my step-daughter). I think the complications were from the number of pregnancies and the way my body responded to them and not really anything to do with my age or anything that would affect anyone else having a baby over 40. My son is such a blessing to our family and definitely a gift from God. We can’t imagine life without him! He does have metopic and saggital craniosynostosis that he may some day need surgery to open (every day is a walk of faith, right?!?), but he is otherwise perfectly healthy and SO smart. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you get ready to welcome this new little one. Blessings!

OMG! Yay! I somehow started thinking about your miscarriage video the other day, and I was like “I hope they are secretly pregnant and we get an announcement soon” since it seems like you really wanted another baby!

I had a similar experience with my youngest as far as it feeling “meant to be” by God. We were having a birthday dinner for my son, and I just suddenly felt this overwhelming almost grief. Not, like, TEARS flowing grief…but just a sadness of missing somebody. Like someone was supposed to be there who wasn’t. And I had this picture flash in my head of us having dinner, only there was a toddler little girl with us with light colored hair. My husband had previously said he wanted to wait another 3 years before any more kids, so I was bummed for a bit when he suddenly calls me over and says “let’s have a baby.” Like, out of nowhere! We conceived that month and did indeed have a little girl with light colored hair. We went back to that same restaurant recently (now that she is a toddler) and it dawned on me that we had come full circle on that vision.

How cool to know the name in advance, though! We argued over her name for months. lol!

Congratulations, and many prayers for a healthy pregnancy and easy birth. God is certainly good.

  Also…hubby was born when his mom was 42 or 43. She still has more energy than me after 10 kids and like 35 grandkids. lol. We know LOTS of “older” mamas and all of them have done great. I even have a cousin who adopted a newborn at around 50. You got this. lol. Kids keep us young!!!

Oh this is so wonderful!! Congratulations! And thank you so much for sharing your faith and your experience in coming to this decision! I love how you are putting this in God’s hands. I am not even 28 yet, and I’m 23 weeks pregnant with BOY #4! Yep, FOUR boys. We sort of put this last pregnancy in God’s hands by allowing a small “window”, and through unlikely circumstances, I got pregnant right away. I’m trying to have the strong faith I need that this is God’s plan, because to be honest, I am overwhelmed with all my truly wonderful yet crazy kiddos ? But having a baby is such a blessing, and thank you not only for this reminder of that, but everything you have done for natural mamas. ?? Congratulations!!! What exciting news! I was 25 with my first child, 28 with my second and I just had a baby at 38 years old. God spoke to me too, even though people around us didn’t understand. I also had a miscarriage before I concieved my son. I was a hard and confusing time. It is a lot harder dealing with the tiredness with taking care of a baby at an older age. It was surprising. But, thanks to your book and sharing woman’s birthing stories, I was able to have my first all natural birth after two csections.

First off, congratulations! I’m so excited for you and your family! Secondly, I wanted to thank you for sharing your story as mine is very similar. I’m 30 years old and have two boys, ages 6 and 2 1/2. Something in me told me I wanted a third child, we had only planned on two, so I prayed a lot about how to get my husband on board. The day finally came and we started trying. We got pregnant on the first shot but I miscarried at 7 1/2 weeks. Then we conceived right away again but that time I had a chemical pregnancy. So I prayed again, not knowing if I was right to desire another or not and asking for him to guide me. After a few more months we got pregnant again and I’m now nearly 15 weeks along! It’s been a rough pregnancy so far, tired, nauseous, and I started my pregnancy battling low progesterone. Anyway, I’m just amazed at how similar our stories are and it’s always nice, albeit heartbreaking, to learn you aren’t alone. Thank you! Also my reading of choice this pregnancy has been your week by week guide, so thank you for that as well!

Congratulations!! So amazing! Praying for you! I just had my third…my other boys are 11 & 9. I too thought I was done, but we moved to a new house and baby fever hit!! I am loving motherhood at 39…my perspective is totally different. Enjoying every single precious second. And I had him naturally without meds which I couldn’t have done without your inspiration! I’m going to be honest, I have been reeeeeaaallly hoping that’s why you were MIA! It’s so important to soak it in. I had a miscarriage prior to having my first, no known reason, I’m very healthy! Thank you for sharing all of your journey, (and yes I know not all of your readers share Christian faith), but for those of us that DO share the Faith with you, the way you expressed your announcement was so heartfelt and beautiful, it truly brought tears to my eyes. So, in a world that increasingly silences the sort of faith-filled expression that you shared, thank you, once again. The Author of Life thanks you too, I know and trust! I was actually sitting here taking a break with my feet up reading “The Mama Natural week-by- week Guide”, when I read your email. I’m almost 13 weeks along with our 5th! I too had my first miscarriage before this pregnancy, and I’m so sorry to hear what you went through as well. As weird as it sounds I feel that it was a blessing and a wake up call from God in a lot of ways. I am so happy for you! Praise God! I’m a long time follower and wept with you as you shared your miscarriage stories. I’m in my 20’s, but expecting #4 and I am due right about when you are! That’s so fun! We actually believed for a week that we had lost this baby (I bled heavily and had no inclination to hope it was anything else), and it was our first experience of anything like that in pregnancy. It was a sad, difficult week, but ended with the shock and joy of finding out there was still a healthily beating heart in there. If I hadn’t heard so many stories from friends and women like you about experiencing miscarriage, I would have felt a lot more alone and unsure of how to process it. It’s still been a rollercoaster, and I realize we are really lucky to have had that unexpected happy outcome, so far. Congratulations again!

Congratulations! I’m almost 22 weeks with my second and I’m 39 almost 40! This is so crazy, I first found you when I was pregnant with my girl in 2013 and you were also pregnant at the time (almost simultaneous in months with my pregnancy) and I’ve followed you ever since. My pregnancy has also been pretty rough, nauseous and throwing up still at 21 weeks. It’s tough! But this little baby is so wanted and I’m just praying for healthy baby and strength for me. Congratulations!!! I wanted to cry watching your video! (Praise God!)
My first pregnancy resulted in a m/c, then we had 3 healthy babies, and about 2 years ago, we had another m/c. I was devastated! I felt like I was wrestling with God the past couple years, as if I trusted Him with every aspect of my life EXCEPT growing my family. Which was a shame b/c I felt like our family wasn’t done growing!!
I finally came to a place where I had to repent of my fear, and give it all to Him – which I did. Regardless of where He led us, I had to trust that He knows best, and I don’t. Two weeks later, we had a positive test! I’m at 11 1/2 weeks pregnant right now, and I still can’t believe the goodness He is bestowing on our family (even after my mistrust).
We can’t wait to meet our little angel, and I am so happy for you and your family! We will be praying for you guys!

This is amazing news and I am thrilled for you and your family! I know from experience how emotionally challenging pregnancy after loss can be. I had to give birth to my first daughter when I was only 20 weeks along due to a medical condition she had. I was so devastated! So when I got pregnant for the second time I was so anxious that I didn’t let myself be excited. It really took me a while to just let go of my fears and give in to the excitement so I could enjoy my pregnancy. My beautiful rainbow girl is going to turn one year old in a few weeks and I couldn’t be happier to be her mom. This quote really says it best:
Everything is going to be fine in the end. If it’s not fine it’s not the end.
I admire your strength and how you handle the situation. Thank you for sharing your story – I wish you all the best!

My husband and I struggle with infertility and have struggled for 12 years. We have one miracle 4 year old daughter. We have had 2 failed IVF cyckes since having her (one very recently) I felt ready to throw in the towel BUT not ready to give up! This gave me such hope! Congrats! I’m so excited for you and to watch your journey unfold. I just had my second baby 10 weeks ago. I ordered your book before I was even pregnant and I have loved it and hope to pass it on to another pregnant mama.

My mom had my brother when she was 42. It was a surprise pregnancy. My sister was 17 and I was 10 when he was born. My mom suffered a full term stillbirth and a miscarriage between my sister and I and once she had two healthy kids she was so happy both her and my dad were done. God had other plans!! My brother was totally healthy as was my mom. I will keep you in my prayers!!

Wow congratulations!!!! I’ve been following your blogs and getting your emails since at least 2013 and have so much love for you and your family. It was your PDF on how to detox your life that got me into the Mama Natural world all those years ago. I now live a toxin free (mostly) organic foods lifestyle and have never felt better. This video really helped me because I just turned 26, and am starting my own business soon so life is pretty crazy busy. But getting older has created this almost panic inside of me that my clock is ticking. Hearing that you were able to get pregnant at a later age helped me to take a breath, and realize I have plenty of time. From getting rid of toxic products, quitting that “white stuff” haha (sugar), and now relaxing about my ticking clock, you have helped me in so many ways. THANK YOU. I know it’s not easy to do what you do, but I’m so glad that you do it. And, when that day finally comes that I get to celebrate my own pregnancy I’m so excited to try out and read all of the pregnancy apps and books that I’m sure you’ll continue to create <3

Congrats Genevieve! I have been following you for years. It was before I was even a mama, but had been thinking about it for awhile and wanted to do things the more natural way starting with baby planning and pre-conception. I am now a mom of a 2 year old boy who has benefited from your natural advice for his entire life and I am 15 weeks pregnant with baby #2! We did not find out the sex of the baby the first time around and are doing the same this time – trust me, you will love the surprise! While I am thrilled of course, as you are, I’ve also been struggling with some of the same things that you mentioned (can I really do it again? what if I’m too old for this?) and I find your simple faith so inspiring and encouraging. And…I have to admit…your story gives me the spark of hope that I need, that, maybe–just maybe–this child at 39 may not be my last one, either! 🙂

Congratulations!! Thank you for sharing your amazing news! And thank you for sharing your faith through this story. I myself want to get pregnant, but doctors are strongly advising me to wait. I’m fighting some health issues that are currently preventing me from getting pregnant and this has been not only a physical struggle, but a mental one too. I’m doing my best to surrender it to God knowing that He knows what is best for me and that I am simply on His timeline, not mine. To hear of your desire, prayers, words from God, difficulties, doubts, perseverance, and then finally triumph makes my heart sing! You are such an inspiration!! I hope one day to share your same joy :). I wish you so much love and joy during this pregnancy and cant wait to hear more about it. Again, thank you for sharing!

    Age is just a number! I just had a homebirth at 38. My midwife is awesome and let me opt out of all ultrasounds. This birth was by far my easiest which I credit to God and using the Hypnobabies cd’s from 26 weeks one. It was also my fastest and least painful birth. So fast I delivered before the midwife even got here. By the time I felt enough pain during contractions and they were close enough to call her to come it was go time! Being mom to a newborn for me is only harder this time because I have a 4 and 2 year old also. You can do it!

Congratulations! Children are truly a gift from God. I understand that losing a child or children is very hard. After my first two children, whom I conceived with ease, I also had two miscarriages. After a tough year of getting pregnant, losing my baby, getting pregnant, losing my baby and dealing with all of the physical and emotional aspects that go along with pregnancy and miscarriage, I found myself pregnant yet again. My third “baby” is now one year old and I cannot imagine my life without him. I still think about my two heavenly children often and cannot wait to meet them someday; but, through this journey, I came to trust that God truly has a plan for me and He loves me more than I could ever imagine. He loves you too! Praying for you and your sweet baby. ?

So happy for you guys! Ive been following you since I was pregnant with my 1st baby 6 years ago. You inspired and encouraged me to have 3 unmedicated natural births. My kids are 5, 4, and 1 and I’m wondering if I’m done or should we go for #4. Keeping you guys in prayer for a safe and smooth delivery!

Praise the Lord! I have a similar story and am now 13 weeks pregnant with my fourth baby after 2 consecutive miscarriages. This has been such a journey with my health first… realizing I was struggling with autoimmune issues and wondering what Gods plan was. It was when I finally let go and trusted God no matter what the outcome that I had that peace that passeth all understanding! I praise the Lord that I have 3 children on earth, 3 I will see in heaven one day and prayerfully one in November.
Even in the bad God is always good! So happy for you!

This baby is such an incredible blessing and you are such an incredible woman! I’ve been following and learning from you since 2015 when we were pregnant with our 1st born after 2 miscarriages and my addiction to processed sugars. We’ve since added one more kiddo and are happily crunchy parents! Thank you for being such an influence in our lives and not fearing the world’s rejection of sharing the love of Christ and all things crunchy. Keep being amazing and enjoy that sweet heritage and reward growing inside of you!

Congratulations!!! I always knew that you’ll have at least one more!!! I was pregnant with you with my second and third child, and had my forth one a year ago. I was watching your pregnancy videos with Paloma through my forth pregnancy, because, you have a talent of talking about the pregnancy as of the outmost extraordinary life experience, and that resembles on how I feel about it, too! I bought your book after I already had my baby, but I felt like I have to have your book. Thank you, Genevieve, and enjoy your pregnancy ONE MORE TIME:-):-):-)!!!

Congratulations!!! So exciting!!! I have a simular story to yours. I have 3 boys (not the simular part) and we wanted to try for one more. We ended up having 2 miscarriages. Now I am 18 weeks! We are so blessed and The Lord is still in control! He is good just like you said! So excited for you praying for us both to have healthy babies!

Yaaaaay!!!! I’m 23 weeks myself- and four and a half years ago I was only a couple weeks later than you when you were pregnant with Paloma. Followed that whole series and it gave me so much encouragement. Congratulations!!!!!! ?

M’y warmest congratulations! You will never regret it! I was 45 when our youngest was born (just turned 28!), and our oldest daughter had her youngest when she was 45. She’s beautiful and baby is beautiful! Truly God is good!

That’s so exciting, Genevieve!! I’m so happy for you that I squealed!!! I’m pregnant with my third and it was a welcome (but shocking) surprise, even though we were debating on “when.” I’m so glad God made the final decision for us because I don’t have to ever wonder “What were we thinking?” ? I’m so glad we get to be pregnant at the same time again ? Congrats, mama!

Oh my goodness! It’s like you were telling my story (almost). We got pregnant, unexpectedly, when I was 40 and we miscarried for our first time (after 4 babies). We prayed and prayed about this huge loss, but felt that God was telling us we were suppose to let go and trust Him. We proceeded to get pregnant 3 more times and had three more miscarriages. We felt at a loss, but had to just go with what we know to be true and trust Him. Ultimately it is His plan, His design and His purpose, so we had to just trust Him. We got pregnant again, and then had some testing done right away to discover that I had a clotting disorder, so we treated that right away and we went on to have a successful pregnancy – a little boy, and mind you I was also 42 years old! You can do it! And God goes with you! What a cool thing to share similar stories! Bless you and your family and this little one! And congratulations!

Congratulations! I’m so happy for you guys! My mom had her final baby at 43 and she also had an experience where she heard God tell her that He had a baby girl for her and told her my sister’s name!

Oh my goodness Congratulations!! I am so happy for you it brought tears to my eyes!! It could also be that I’m 19 weeks pregnant myself. ? But this is seriously the best news! I had a miscarriage after my first and so I totally understand delaying telling people, being MIA and just working through all the emotions. I am so happy for you and your family as I’m sure everyone in the mamanatural community is!! ❤️
