When did you realize you were really in labor?
I realized I was in labor at about 5am with slight cramping and such. It progressed throughout the day, I was sent home after checking in and not being far enough along to check in to the center.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The most challenging thing about going natural for me was enduring the actual pains of labor. I was in the car for the hardest part and had no where to go being in the passenger seat. When I arrive at the birth center, I found out after the fact that her head was there already.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Tell myself I could do it.

What surprised you about your birth?
Almost giving birth in the car! And actually I was surprised how well it all really did go.

You can do it! The bond that comes between mother and child is worth it. Also you'll be so proud afterward that you did it.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
None.haha, I really had a rough time I couldn't sit down that was the best I could do.

What position did you end up delivering in?
Laying on my back.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Absolutely amazing and beyond words. I just kept saying oh my baby over and over.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
You can do it! The bond that comes between mother and child is worth it. Also you'll be so proud afterward that you did it.
