When did you realize you were really in labor?
The contractions! I was having pain here and there before hand and I just wasn't sure. It was like the deepness of it...?? The first set of contractions were 30 min apart and the next was 9 min and the next stayed at about 5 min apart. Then I was like ...yes this is finally happening!!!

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Research my choices to feel confident in my decision.

What surprised you about your birth?
The lack of a fight I had at the birthing center. I've given birth there before and I didn't feel respected or heard last time. With this pregnancy I read a little bit on supernatural birth. I prayed about all the things that were important to me and I kept reading about the things I wanted to make sure I was confident in my decision to make sure I wouldn't give in under pressure when questioned in case I felt intimidated.
