When did you realize you were really in labor?
I'd just sat down after cleaning the house top to bottom when I heard this 'pop' and realized my waters had gone. Before this I'd not had any obvious contractions or pain. Labour was intense and progressed very quickly after that.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
Being in the house on my own not knowing what was happening was very scary. My mobile was downstairs but everytime I stood up to get it another intense contraction would start and I couldn't move. Also going through transition without a midwife/doula present was horrible as I began to panic and scare myself.

Lots and lots of research. I looked in to everything from hypnobirthing to mind control to try and help me through a natural birth.

The speed that everything happened. From start to finish my labour lasted three and a half hours and then I had my little baby boy!
