Exercising and Stretching Helped Alicia Tremendously During Her Hospital Birth

  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

    I realized when the contractions were very consistent and sharp. I still needed confirmation though. So when the midwife confirmed it, I was 100' 100 %

  • What was the most challenging thing about going natural?

    When the baby was pushing down. I felt everything, the intensity of his head forcing its way through. That was most painful.

  • What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?

    Those exercises! the stretches helped tremendously. Baby did not take long at all.
    Also the breathing helped me cope.

  • What surprised you about your birth?

    The time I took. I thought as it was my first I would be there a long time. I walked, breathed and waited for the consistency and ai took no more than 2 hrs for baby to come. I surprised myself and many others.

  • Make up your mind for some pain. Exercise, breathe and have intercourse. It really helps.
  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

    Breathing

    Flat on my back

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    Beautiful.

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

    Make up your mind for some pain. Exercise, breathe and have intercourse. It really helps.
