Having an Amazing Team Of Nurses Helped Tanisha During Her Hospital Birth

  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

    My labor was not short of an adventure. The day before I was told I wasn't even dilating... Go figure so the next morning I decided a warm bath was needed to ease the discomfort. Five minutes in and BAM my water broke.

  • What was the most challenging thing about going natural?

    Having to wait to push. You think you know pressure no ma'am. It's not a painful pressure but a more the uncomfortable feeling.

  • What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?

    Pelvis and leg exceeded and breath,breath,BREATH.

  • What surprised you about your birth?

    The amazing team I had of nurses and the surprise in myself yesss

  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

    Knees to chest(don't push) with deep breathing and point,flex in my feet.

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

    Knees to chest.

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    Aaaaazzing to hear that beautiful cry. To see her eyes peeking at me. It's something so Serene about that certain moment.

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

    Don't get discouraged. Breath,take breaks, find a focus point, center yourself around your baby not the pain.
