  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

    At 41 weeks 1 day, I woke up at 4am with a mild contraction. I fell back asleep and when I woke up at 7am with the same type of contractions, I knew it was time.

    Giving up control and knowing there is no turning back at a certain point.

    How fast it went once contractions sped up. About 2 hours!

    In the birth pool. On my knees, with my arms over the side of the pool holding onto one handle with both hands.

    Euphoric! So happy to meet her and find out she was a girl!
