  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

    I realized I was really in labor when I first woke up. I was only having light contractions in the morning but I just had a feeling that it was the real deal.

    For me, the most challenging thing about having a natural childbirth was just realizing that I could do it and giving into the pain.

    What surprised me most about my birth was how different it was from my first birth.

  • Holding my baby for the first time was very surreal. I couldn't believe that I had just pushed my tiny, squishy, baby out. The surge of emotions were overwhelming in the best way.

    The pain relief strategy that worked the best for me was laboring in the water. I also labored well leaning on my yoga ball.

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

    I ended up delivering my baby while squatting and Holding leaning on the side of my birth pool.

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    Holding my baby for the first time was very surreal. I couldn't believe that I had just pushed my tiny, squishy, baby out. The surge of emotions were overwhelming in the best way.

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

    The best piece of advice I could give to a mama who wants to go natural is to surround herself with people who are supportive of her and her choices.
