  • What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?

Working out most everyday, brisk walks, Pilates and Barre and yoga. I also adhere to a pretty strict Paleo diet.

  • What surprised you about your birth?

What surprised me most was how quickly she came! I labored and birthed in 25 minutes. I wasn't expecting to be alone in a half filled bath tub but there I was delivering my fifth child by myself as my husband went to kitchen for just a few minutes.

  • Embrace the process. Allow your body to open and welcome each wave of contractions, don't ever fight it.

Hot water running over my low back, focused relaxation and deep breathing.

    Seated/reclined in the bath tub.

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    It felt incredible.

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

Embrace the process. Allow your body to open and welcome each wave of contractions, don't ever fight it.
