I had everything ready 2 months prior to his EDD of 3/7

What surprised you about your birth?
On Friday February 10th I went in to MFM for my twice a week check up. I had GD and my blood pressure had been rising on and off. Anyway I went in, and it was very high. I was suppose to be induced on the 14th, but they called onsite doctor who said they were admitting me to be induced. My husband came to get me bc we had to go to other site. Once admitted they started me on pitocin, and magnesium, and insulin. They tried first to soften my cervix then I had a procedure were they put a balloon in me to jump start my dilation. By Saturday morning I was still at 4 cm and not getting any closer, so they broke my water. By 4pm still nothing, and doctors came in and told me we may need to end up doing C-section. Well we ended up having to do C-Section and at 629pm on February 11th, Nolan Marlin Maikits was born. He weighed 5lbs 7 ounces, 18 1/2 inches long. I would do this all over again for him.

Do everything you can to go natural. Sometimes it may not always be the case and surgery is required. Just as long as you and baby are safe and healthy that is all that matters

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
It was the best feeling in the world. I cried.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
Do everything you can to go natural. Sometimes it may not always be the case and surgery is required. Just as long as you and baby are safe and healthy that is all that matters
