Chiropractic, Yoga And Supportive Doula Helped Brandi During Her Twin Birth

  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

After coming home from an acupuncture appointment, my water broke as I went to the kitchen to grab a snack. This was a few hours after an ultrasound appointment where a doctor told me to schedule a c section because Baby A was presenting footling breech and twins need to be delivered before 38 weeks. I didn't schedule and started labor on my own.

  • What was the most challenging thing about going natural?

Trusting that my body and my babies would work together to have the birth that was perfect for them.

  • What surprised you about your birth?

This was my second set of twins and at each birth, Baby A was born frank breech and Baby B was born sunny side up! Same presentations but this time was a much better experience with a supportive team.

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

On my back in an operating room. Had to make some compromises with it being a twin birth.
