When did you realize you were really in labor?
When I was in the hospital and the midwife checked to see if I was dilated. They were also doing a test to see if my water had actually broke and they looked and said "you can see her head!"

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The last 30 minutes were the hardest! When my baby girl was coming down I asked "can I have the medicine now?"

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Having a great support team helps so much!

What surprised you about your birth?
I was surprised that I was actually right about being in labor, and that it felt way better then being induced! Which I only had IV medicine, no epidural.

You can do it! Get a doula and listen to your body, it knows! When it feels like you can't do it anymore your baby is right around the corner!

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Deep tissue massage on my back/butt area and the birthing tub.

What position did you end up delivering in?
I delivered on my side with one leg in the stirrup.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
It felt so good to hold my baby girl after the delivery! Last time I was so tired from being induced so it was a special experience.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
You can do it! Get a doula and listen to your body, it knows! When it feels like you can't do it anymore your baby is right around the corner!
