When did you realize you were really in labor?
I had my membranes swept at 1130 in the morning.... already lost my mucus plug and contractions began around 1230 that's afternoon

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The last 5 minutes were the most intense! The pressure was insane but it lasted such a short time it was so empowering!

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
I used hypnobabies home study course and it was amazing at getting me in the zone and relaxed as well as prepared for a natural birthing

What surprised you about your birth?
How quickly it went! 7 hours! And how truly awesome I felt immediately after! Being able to walk and move around was awesome

We were made to give birth.... nothing had change in the female anatomy.... having a plan and practice your birthing education of choice!

What pain relief strategies worked best?
I used hypnobabies and the self hypnosis was the best!

What position did you end up delivering in?
I delivered lying on my side and sitting up!

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
It was amazing! She was bigger then her brother, and had the most amazing head of dark hair!

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
I had one with a typical epidural and one natural and if we have a third it will be with hypnobabies all natural as well! We were made to give birth.... nothing had change in the female anatomy.... having a plan and practice your birthing education of choice!
