When did you realize you were really in labor?
I labored on and off all day but around 9pm it really picked up.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
I had my first all natural so I remembered the ring of fire. While I was pushing with my second I was kind of holding back because I wasn't excited about that part.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
My husband and I took a Bradley Method class before we had our first child.

What surprised you about your birth?
I was super worried I'd end up in a hospital. But everything ended up going how I planned and prayed to happen. I felt so blessed!

You wait for 40+ weeks, labor, pushing and then they are finally there. Seeing their beautiful faces just make everything so worth it.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
BREATHING, moving and making sounds!

What position did you end up delivering in?
I supported myself with my arms in the birthing tub and was kind of sitting.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Amazing! Holding both of my children was such a rewarding feeling. You wait for 40+ weeks, labor, pushing and then they are finally there. Seeing their beautiful faces just make everything so worth it.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
I'd really suggest taking birthing classes with your husband/partner. Reading books. Just preparing together. Writing a birthing plan. Making sure he's on the same page as you and willing to make sure you have the birth you envision.
