When did you realize you were really in labor?
When I put together that the "cramps" I was having a hard time breathing thru were actually contractions, which was about 3 hours before my son was born.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The most challenging part of my beautiful natural birth was probably explaining natural home birth to outsiders. Haha

What surprised you about your birth?
How fast I bounced back, I was up and down the stairs doing stuff for myself a few hours later.

Do it !? the instant uninterrupted bond you have with your child,&spouse is everything. How well your body reacts to having no interference is so amazing. I can't say enough great things about a natural birth.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
For me it was all a mind game of managing my pain by putting it in a place that was understandable. Being a believer in Jesus Christ, I just kept thinking if he could endure 3 days of pain and torture for me . I could endure a few hours of discomfort for my child. Knowing that God designed my body specifically to birth babies and that the pain of childbirth is my punishment for single was comforting.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
