    I realized I was really in labor by about 5pm, the afternoon before my son was born.

    Watch natural birth videos and read alot about natural pain management techniques, as well as read a lot about the way the body opens up and prepares to give birth. Red Raspberry Leaf Tea round the clock didn't hurt, either!

  • What surprised you about your birth?

    What surprised me about my son's birth was how emotional and spiritual it was, without an epidural or being induced , like with my first born.

  • DO IT! Its worth it. Pain sucks but out of that pain, so much love is birthed. Not all pain is bad.
  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

    Visualizing calming scenes for me... my garden, the beach, being a kid playing with my siblings...
    Then focusing on relaxing and explaining to myself what my body was doing.

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

    On my knees, holding onto the headboard of the bed

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    Absolutely breathtaking. So happy and full of love!

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

    DO IT! Its worth it. Pain sucks but out of that pain, so much love is birthed. Not all pain is bad.
