    I knew right away, but it didn't sink in until contractions started getting more intense.

    Learn to try to relax and trust my body. This is what it was made to do, it is a normal physiological function and not one to fear.

    How fast it was compared to my very long first birth!

  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

    Allowing myself to moan in low tones! I also used homeopathic remedies, a tens machine and counter pressure.

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

    On my back do to the baby being sunny side up, I needed this position to get babe around my pelvis.

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    Amazing of course. After a medicated first birth, I felt so much more present and could really soak up the experience!

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
