Prayer and Sitting on Exercise Ball Helped Katerina During Her Hospital Birth

  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

My water broke at 7am but it was just trickling. It was like I sprung a leak. I thought it would close up on its own because that happened a couple weeks prior. But by 5pm it didn't stop so I went to the hospital.

  • What was the most challenging thing about going natural?

I was unable to go completely natural. I was in labor for 55 hours. I got Pitocin 24 hours into it. The last 12 hours I got an epidural to rest before pushing for 1.5 hours.
