When did you realize you were really in labor?
When I was sitting down playing with my son before bed. I had one big one and I though, ok here we go!

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The most challenging thing was pushing. I labored at home all day walking back and forth in my kitchen and sitting at my desk with a pillow on my desk and laying my head down on it when I felt tired. When it was time to push I was squaring but kept blacking out and knew I needed a different direction.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
The most helpful thing I did to prepare was probably clean my house. While I was laboring it made me feel good to have a clean house.

What surprised you about your birth?
That I was able to labor so long at home and it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Walking and rocking back and forth helped me tramidusly.

What position did you end up delivering in?
I thought the whole time I was pregnant I was going to squat and deliver but as I was sqauting and pushing I kept backing out and I ended up one leg on the ground and one up on the bed and holding Thebes's side of the bed with one arm.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Elated with love!! He took a few min tires to get settled down and to my breast for milk.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
Trust your body, don't let others scare you, be strong and know you were meant for this! It's your life your journey and your store. Do not let anyone change your mind. Love and go with the flow.
