When did you realize you were really in labor?
About 1:15 PM. I had been watching Netflix while my other 2 kids were napping and realized that I had been having contractions about a minute apart for the past 10 minutes.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The biggest challenge for me was making sure I was eating and drinking enough throughout the day cause it could happen any time and I wanted to have enough energy.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Perineal Adjustment! Keeps everything aligned so that when baby drops he/she won't get stuck.

What surprised you about your birth?
It was so easy. Only one push. Besides about 5 super intense contractions it was basically painless.

Don't be afraid. Fear causes tension which leads to pain. If you have a belief that your body was meant to do this and that birth is a normal natural thing it will be a whole lot less painful and scary.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Breathing and kinda squatting down with the contractions.

What position did you end up delivering in?
On my knees, almost sitting back on my heels in the water.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
I was speechless and almost giddy. I just felt complete.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
