Exercising and Evening Primrose Oil Helped Lacie During Her Hospital Birth

  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

    Woke up at 4am with leaking fluids and mild cramps. Just had a feeling.

    Pushing. Contractions weren't that painful but pushing seemed much harder second go round

  • What surprised you about your birth?

    This was second natural birth, very fast I tore with my first and didn't this time. The same day I was up walking moving showering. I felt great with no stitches.

  • DON'T freak out. Don't give in. Unless it's medically necessary for you and your baby. I almost gave into epidural but I am so glad I did. Yes it hurts but afterwards the sense of pride is awesome.
  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

    I did noises. Mostly screaming to get through pain

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

    Laying on back.

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    Amazing. Felt complete.

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

    DON'T freak out. Don't give in. Unless it's medically necessary for you and your baby. I almost gave into epidural but I am so glad I did. Yes it hurts but afterwards the sense of pride is awesome.
