When did you realize you were really in labor?
My water broke & contractions started, so I assumed. I’m glad it was clear to me because if my water had not broken I would of probably been a bit confused since this was my first birth.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The drive to the birth center, not knowing if we were far enough long to get to stay.
Then hearing peoples negative opinions about it. (I quickly stopped talking about it to just anyone.)

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Watch birth videos, reading up & of course praying!

What surprised you about your birth?
How I actually did it! Most amazing, indescribable feeling ever!

What pain relief strategies worked best?
WATER! Warm tub!

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
I don’t even have the words. Like a dream. So so special! !

What did you name your baby, and why?
Adley Grace
By this name our hopes is that our girl will obtain Godly character from her creator - Abba - God is just. Our hopes, prayers, are Adley will have “just” character. As the scriptures talk about those who are just. Honest, right & reliable. Morally right. And that she fights/stands and proclaims for those things, all the days of her life.
You see that the grace of God is more than salvation but also everything we need for life and godliness. The definition of grace could be “God's life, power and righteousness given to us by unmerited favor.” It is through grace that God works effective change in our hearts and lives.
