What surprised you about your birth?
Only 30 minutes of pushing, but once I started pushing productively, I only pushed for about 10 minutes.

Breathing hard into my husband's chest.

I was on the hospital bed lying at a 45 degree angle, pulling back on my thighs when pushing.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Incredible. We didn't know the gender until she was being laid on my chest & my hubby said it was a girl.
