Breathing Exercises Helped Tamber During Her Hospital Birth

  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

Well I woke up February 6th and lost some bloody mucus plug. Told my hubby it might be time but I wasn't contracting very steady so we decided to wait. Was making sure my bags were all packed, walked towards my room and my water broke.

  • What was the most challenging thing about going natural?

The waiting and not knowing when. I have 3 girls at home and had to have a babysitter for them.

  • What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?

Set up a babysitter for my other girls so I wouldn't have to worry.

  • What surprised you about your birth?

I lost a ton of blood afterward about 3 hours after having a baby girl. I thought I was dying I've never seen that much blood in my life. I watch a lot of doctor shows so I was pretty scared.

  • Really it's all state of mind
  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

Breathing exercises and that my husband was by my side the whole time.

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    It felt amazing.

  • What did you name your baby, and why?

Her name is Talia, means Dew from Heaven in Hebrew, her middle name is Amayameans night rain, she was born at 6:42 p.m and it was raining.

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

Really it's all state of mind, I feel like the worst pain is when they come down the canal, and it just mostly feels like you need to go to the bathroom.
