When did you realize you were really in labor?
I was induced due to cholestasis at 37 weeks. I was induced May 15 at 730pm and started having contractions at 8pm

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
I had dilated to 3 cm on my own the day before I had to be induced. The contractions coming on every 30 seconds was the most challenging for me.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
I did a lot of research on methods to cope with pain without medication

What surprised you about your birth?
I was surprised by how fast it went ! Contractions started at 815 pm and she was born at 139 am ! Also the fact I only pushed once totally surprised me

Breathing through each contractions and not worrying about the next one

I was laying down with my bum elevated onto a pillow

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
It was amazing, pure joy. She is perfect.

To stay focused and stand your ground, breathe and self talk.
