When did you realize you were really in labor?
I guess when the contractions weren't going away and I really couldn't handle them anymore.
-
What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
This baby was posterior and was born posterior! The back pain was unbearable but I wouldn't have had him any other way. This is my third baby and by far the most painful birth. All three have been 100% natural and unmedicated.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
I prepared for a beautiful home birth with a support team: midwife and doula. I wanted a birthing tub to help ease pain but baby had other plans. He was born unassisted on our bathroom. My husband caught him. So I guess you can't really prepare for childbirth. Rather go with your instincts and respect the time it takes both you and your baby to work towards meeting each other.

What surprised you about your birth?
The back pain really surprised me because like I said I had never had back pain before and definitely how fast he came.
