    Right before my water broke when my contractions were very strong and woke my husband.

    Educate! Educate! Educate! Learning all I could about all aspects of birth! Ina may and Sheila Kitzinger were my favorite midwife/authors. Also learning about the hospital and all its inner workings is very helpful!

  • What surprised you about your birth?

    How fast everything progressed! Awoke at 3am and had a baby in my arms by 4:04am! 10/31/2016 was planning on giving birth at our local birth home (after 2 hospital births) but we wound up giving birth on our tiny home before our midwife arrived! Daddy caught his baby girl!

  • Educate! And have faith in your ability! Fear is the enemy and has no place in your wonderful journey of birthing!
  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

    I didnt have much time for that but free movement is helpful. And focusing on baby!

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

    Hands and knees.

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    Shocking and relief and ecstacy!

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

    Educate! And have faith in your ability! Fear is the enemy and has no place in your wonderful journey of birthing!
