  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

    Sunday, March 24 when my cramping became regular contractions every 4-5 minutes apart.

  • What was the most challenging thing about going natural?

    After laboring for 24 hours and still not progressing very much it was so hard to cope with the pain and discomfort of constant ongoing contractions!

  • What surprised you about your birth?

    The pushing phase only took about an hour and the relief after our baby was out was incredible. The rush of hormones and peace holding her skin to skin is indescribable!

  • It helped me prepare and keep an open mind about childbirth.
  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

    Despite different positions, lots of tub time, counter pressure points and aromatherapy I ultimately got an epidural which was just what I needed to progress because it finally let me rest and gave me some much-needed relief. I was able to labor naturally for 24 hours and I have no regrets about that!

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    Nothing anyone told me or that I read could have prepared me for all of the love and peace I felt!

  • What did you name your baby, and why?

    We named her Leah we just loved the name!
