When did you realize you were really in labor?
About 2 in the morning, underwear were a little wet.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
Since I had a labor of 36 hours, I had pitocin given a few times. Those contractions were so painful and I had back labor. I ended up not going natural at 7 cm.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
I wish I would've done a lot differently. I would say to read about all things.
For me the most helpful thing was to read about breastfeeding, I didn't do much preparing for childbirth. Compared to what I would've done now.

What surprised you about your birth?
How the experience was. Completely not what I thought.

I was just so happy to see my baby beautiful and healthy!

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Epidural.. I know bad!

What position did you end up delivering in?
The standard - sitting while legs are held.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
I was so tired from not sleeping much during my labor process. Pushing wasn't too long for us. I was just so happy to see her beautiful and healthy!

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
Get a doula! Or go to a midwife!
