  • What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?

Overcoming fear! Pray for a great birth and have faith and trust in God was most helpful and relaxing.

  • What surprised you about your birth?

How extremely intense, and at the same time amazing, contractions can feel like and how fast the hours flew by

  • It’s the best feeling ever! Indescribably beautiful!!! Praise the Lord!!!
  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

I never felt the need for relief. I felt most comfortable on my hands and knees to handle the contractions and it helps to just breath through them and relax as much as possible.

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

    On my hands and knees

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

It’s the best feeling ever! Indescribably beautiful!!! Praise the Lord!!!

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

Spiritually: Don’t allow fear into your house or delivery room, only have room for love, peace, faith and trust in your heart.
Physically: prepare your body for birth by going for walks as often as you can and by drinking red raspberry leaf tea every day for your last trimester and eat dates in your last month before birth.

    Those things helped me most!
