  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

    When my water broke - 7 days before my due date at 1:30AM

  • What was the most challenging thing about going natural?

    I would say the judgement from people about my choices in going natural.

  • What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?

    Chiropractic care definitely! Also, dates and miles circuit

  • What surprised you about your birth?

    How calm I was during labor. Throughout the whole day and even during active labor I was able to stay calm and confident.

  • I pulled him up through my legs out of the water and placed him on my chest; from that point I couldn’t imagine my life without him.
  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

    Breathing and also my husband putting counter pressure on my hips during contractions - that saved me I think!

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    It was the best feeling I’ve ever had. It was way more emotional, unforgettable and perfect than I could’ve imagined. I pulled him up through my legs out of the water and placed him on my chest and from that point I couldn’t imagine my life without him.

  • What did you name your baby, and why?

    Hudson Robert. Hudson was One of a few names I had picked out and my husband liked it the best. Robert comes from my husbands first name.

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

    Be confident in your choices and birth plan and stay positive. Even when it gets hard you may want to stray from some of your original plans but stay strong and stick to your plan. You will be so thankful you did
