I asked him why he wanted the name and he said he likes the nickname, Jax. I wrote down a list of every name that could have the nickname Jax, and he really liked Ajax, more than Jaxton. I agreed that it is nice, but still wanted Niko, a spin on Nick, my father’s name. One day, it gave in, and Ajax Niko McLynn was finally named. We call him Jax a lot, but not as much as I thought I would. Reply Hali Martens Jan 29 at 4:33 pm My son is named ajax. I was told I could never have kids so he was welcomed surprise and my husband at the time wanted Thor and I hated it! I refused!!! And I wanted something strong, fighter name but different. And after almost losing him twice I happened across the name Ajax. It has been the only one I’ve come across and its name people don’t easily forget. I’ve gotten crap about naming him after cleaning supplies but i fire back, about how only the best get to be household names!
