  1. My father in-law came up with the name and passed away before he was born. We chose it in his honor.

  2. I prefer shorter names compared to longer names with a nick name. I love this name because it is strong, unique but, not too out there, and easy to spell and pronounce.

  3. Only name dad and I could agree on.

  4. My husband and I both loved the name and agreed off the bat it was the one if we had a boy. We felt confident in it.

  5. We knew we wanted a name that was a little less common, but not totally obscure. We had the hardest time settling on something until we kept heading the name “Colt” come up in different places. We didn’t officially name him until he was born and we saw what he looked like, but the more we said the name out loud the more we liked it. Plus he kicked me like CRAZY in in my belly so we thought a name meaning young horse seemed appropriate 🙂
