  1. We live in Sweden so I have always wanted my kids to have Swedish names. Our 2 eldest girls are Kajsa, and Solveig. We had 2 girls and then I found out I was having another one! The name Astrid was getting more popular in Sweden and I really loved the feeling of the name. So, we named our third child Astrid which I think is the cutest name ever! then we also have our youngest who is a boy named Bjorn

  7. We loved the uniqueness of the name and the fact that it is Scandinavian. My husband is American with Scandinavian descent and wanted our kids to have a unique name like his. We both did not want to have a top 100 name, even though Astrid might become more popular with the dragon movie.
