I love my name so much the leigh is so pretty I did that to all of my kids Brayleigh, Paisleigh, Kinleigh, And Zaydreigh (yes I know Zaydreigh does not have a leigh in it but it has a eigh insted)

I didn’t know that my mom and dad picked my name because of the meaning. I just thought they were running out of choices for a name and just picked a random name. But when I asked them they say to search it up. I thought it was really cool. Even though I’m not a man nor a boy. I am a girl. But it still means being free. I am also a Black African American. Which I am proud of being. No matter if people call me mean names or anything. I hope I don’t get negative reply’s from this.

My oldest daughter was born in 1989 and I loved the name Charlie for a girl but wanted it looking a bit more feminine. I loved the spelling and when I had a second daughter 6 yrs later I used the eigh in her name, Correigh which is complimented on regularly and a name that I personally have never heard used on a girl locally but Corey used for a boy

Babys daddy’s middle name is Charles. Baby’s mamas middle name is Leigh; hence Charleigh. I love her name as it is a non traditional spelling of the name and a mix of both parents middle names. It is also a derivative of Charles which is all through my family. Charleigh also means strong and womanly.

My daughter’s name is Charleigh. She was named after my father who I adored very much his Name was Charles. I had a niece that past away as well. her middle name was Lee. She was my best friend, my age because my sister’s and brother all 21 or more years older than me had children when I popped up , surprise, anyway that is where I came up with the name charleigh, just feminized it I honor of those 2 special people to me.

My husband and I had talked about what we would name our children early on in our relationship. So we had our names picked out before we ever became parents. I always loved the name Charleigh for a girl. One day I came across the spelling on a shirt on Pinterest and I knew that’s exactly how I wanted it to be spelt. Charleigh middle name is Ann. Which is my mother in law middle name and my grandmothers name. My husband also loved the name so much that he hoped we would have a girl first. But our first child was a boy and we named him Brantley. I always loved the name Brantley after the musician Brantley Gilbert. Brantley middle name is Louis. Which is my father-in-law and other family members middle name.

I named my daughter after my maternal grandfather who was a very large influence in my life but very sadly passed away in 2016.
his name was Charles so i added the feminine twist with the spelling.
