  1. It’s such a lovely name. Manly and Handsome enough to be the name of the boy.

  2. We named our son after the Bruce Peninsula, where my husband’s family has had property going back generations. It was where he spent the idealic days of his childhood, the halcyon days of new love when we were dating, and continues to be a special place of holiday respite for our family :).

  3. Both my father and the father of my oldest son are both named Bruce. It’s a strong, masculine name that you don’t hear as often.

  4. We chose the name Bruce because my family’s heritage traces back to the Scottish King Robert the Bruce. And the name Bruce means, from Normandy, and our Grandfather’s name was Norman. It’s a classic name and our boy is still a toddler but will someday grow to be tall and strong like his Father! We call him, “Brucey“, “Brewster“, and “Buddy“, for nicknames.
