  1. We named our son Cade from the first English poet Caedmon. The name later became popular because of the fictional hero Cade.

  2. short mf that smells like pig nails and steel cupcakes

  3. We chose Cade for many reasons – we love one syllable names and names that are easy to say / spell. It sounded strong and neither of us knew anyone by that name, which was important. We also didn’t want a name that sounded “made up”. It flowed well with the middle name we wanted and sounded good as a stand alone name when read just First/Last names. There were a couple others we considered, but Cade was the perfect fit. We wish it had a more profound meaning, but decided that the name will be defined by who he becomes and the character traits we instill in parenting him.
We paired it with the middle name, Elliot, which has a strong meaning that resonates with our family.
