  1. Our last name means smoke. Once upon a time I found a list of baby names relating to fire and since fire comes before smoke, I figured that these would be the perfect names for us.

On that list, Daxton meant “fire-stoker”. Our first born would be responsible for starting our family fire and would help us keep it alive!

  2. When we found out that our last name means “to smoke” in Spanish we both thought it would be awesome to have baby names that had something to do with fire (since fire comes before smoke). We set out searching for any name with a connection to fire, and Daxton came up on a list. This list said that Daxton meant “fire stoker” which basically means that he will get the fire started and keep it going. Exactly what we need as parents of IVF babies.

  3. Daxton is a great name, small minded people try to lump it in with other trendy names, but it’s been around for longer than they realize.

I know a Daxton in his 20’s, he likes his name.

  4. Unique, but simple.
Dax to keep it short and sweet, but can use Daxton for more formal situations

  5. We just felt like Daxton was the sweetest little name for our baby boy. No significant meaning to the way we picked it
