  3. We wanted a Mexican name that most people can easily say. It was literally the only name my husband and I agreed on

  4. I have a great new original baby name – not like Joaquin Phoenix – but better. It’s exactly the same but NOT the joker. My baby will be super cool, and also know that we live in a society. He will be worldly and 4’11” (Just like his dad!), always wearing a hat, loves Keith Haring, wears only long sleeves, can paint like Da Vinki. Due date April 29th, hope he turns out chiseled!

  5. So I couldn’t come with a name not even a letter. So my sister was watchinb the joker and his real name is Joaquin Phoenix. I have a Phoenix already so she called me and said u have the perfect name for him I asked what and she said Joaquin. I loved it so I went with it didn’t even second guess it

  6. When I first moved to New Mexico as a little girl I met a boy in my class named Joaquin. I had never heard of that name before and ever since then I really liked it. I always said if I has a son I’d name him Joaquin. When it came choosing names my husband was a little reserved about the name as everyone would think of Joaquin Phoenix. He wanted to stray from naming our child after celebrities. It wasnt until our midwife said Joaquin was a strong name that convinced my husband! A strong name for our strong little boy.

  7. I grew up in California and always loved the sound of Joaquin (a la San Joaquin Valley). My family is from Mexico and I wanted a name that touches on my heritage and is unique, but not too difficult for people to say (Guillermo is another favorite yet it’s kind of a mouthful for most English speakers). My husband and I also love the nickname for Joaquin – Keno. We love to call our boy “Joaquin the Dream” and “Keno Bambino” <3
