  1. My husband and I love our Ronin! He’s so sweet and kind with an independent spirit. Our oldest son’s name is Dimitri so we were definitely looking for something unique when we had Ronin. I couldn’t be happier with our childrens names.

  2. We chose this name because of the Japanese and Irish meanings of the name. ?

  3. Ronin is our boy’s name!

The ronin warriors were samurai who chose to keep on living in the absence of their masters. Many samurai would commit seppuku if their masters we’re defeated or died, but the ronin did not and chose to continue fighting, or chose to go on and live different lives, sometimes as hired guard, or justice fighters, some started businesses, others became criminals…they admittedly had a rather varied reputation, but one thing was for certain. They were fighters and they didn’t give up. It ended up being the absolute perfect name for our guy.

  4. It’s just so unique and different. He is such a Ronin!

  5. Its different and original.

  6. I loved the uniqueness and sound of it. I would have preferred the Irish spelling Ronan, but my husband insisted on the Japanese spelling Ronin. It’s the only name I thought of that he liked, might as well let him have the spelling.

  7. I train Mixed Martial Arts, Judo, boxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while my husband trains Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The word Ronin in Japanese means masterless Samurai. We just liked the sound of it and thought it was a little fitting because of our martial arts background.

  8. In Hebrew it means SONG OF JOY.
IN Japanese it means Samri with no master. We found it on a movie and liked it.
