  1. I named my daughter Teagan 30 years ago it was unheard of then.

    • That was my mom in 1989, I never heard my name anywhere until Tegan and Sarah became popular

  2. I thought this name was Wonderful for my daughter. She’s always so joyful. I wanted a name that meant Something Beautiful, and a name that was different. My name is Eileen, And my Husband is Mason. We Both wanted something extraordinary. That matches with us, So then Came Teagan.

  3. I came across the name Teagan when I was pregnant with our baby girl in 2015. I’m of Irish descent and I really liked the name meaning “beautiful” or “little poet” as I have come across both meanings. We had mixed reactions when telling family at first since most had never heard the name but we stuck with it. Fast forward five years later and we could not have picked a more perfect name for our fun and bright little girl. We still only rarely run across anyone with the name, yet it’s easy to pronounce and nothing she gets made fun of for. It’s perfect.

  4. Just loved it and being different

  5. Both my husband and I loved this name and it stuck with us 2 years before we had a baby girl. So once we found out we were going to have a baby girl we both brought up Teagan as the name. It’s beautiful and you don’t hear it very often.

  6. We chose Teagan mostly for it’s spunky sound but also for one of the meanings (beautiful). We like that there are no real nicknames and that it is uncommon.

  7. We chose this name because Teagan means beautiful in Gaelic and my husband is Irish. I love her name so much, and I think she does too. The toddlers at day care call her TT. My sister calls her Teaggs. Her dada calls her Teago. A family friend called her the Teagan-a-ter, which makes us laugh. She is assertive, persistent and we feel this is a strong name that suits her personality.
