My husband came home and before I had even told him the name I was thinking of, he said, “what do you think about the name Bodhi”? I was astonished because that was the exact name I was thinking of. It was that in alignment and that easy. Also, our boy was born “en caul” in the amniotic sac which is considered a Buddha birth. Our little odd ha under the Bodhi tree. And he is soooooo calm, meditative and sweet. He’s a great little sleeper and is a sweet little Buddha baby!

  8. The name Bodhi came to me at 8 weeks pregnant. In Buddhism, Bodhi means enlightenment; awakening. And the journey to my Bodhi boy was filled with spiritual enlightenment and many awakenings. Our journey as maiden-fetus was undisturbed as I was intuitively called to have an intervention free pregnancy – relinquishing full control to the female anatomy. Our transition to mother-baby was led by a natural, undisturbed freebirth at home. In the most peaceful, powerful, and euphoric experience. Childbirth was yet again another awakening of full surrendering to nature and Bodhi.
