  1. Caspian is such a new yet old name.
A bit rare but not strangely spelled or completely unknown.
We wanted a name people knew how to pronounce just from it’s spelling.
We wanted a gendered name in this generation of fluidity.
Am a serious book lover and always loved Prince Caspian in the Chronicles of Narnia series.
Fun fact my friends don’t know: he was “made” on a sailboat trip so appreciated the Caspian Sea link. 😀
We chose it after he was born and it settled since it fit him so well.

Only thing I dislike was a friend said “like Caspian Pizza place” lol :X

  2. My husband and I love Narnia and wanted a unique yet easy to pronounce and spell name.

  3. My husband and I love C.S. Lewis and the Narnia books! Caspian is a quiet leader and just a stinkin cool name!

  4. We were on the lookout for a C name to fit with the rest of our family, and We loved Caspian because of the Narnia Series by CS Lewis. We loved his noble character that is always, longing for adventure, and truth and ready to fight against evil. He is a good and wise leader that searches for those who are Lost , sets slaves free, and longs for Aslans country more than anything!

    • Love this thorough explanation of Prince Caspian’s character for those unfamiliar with the series. Yes that’s why we chose it too.

  5. We wanted a travel inspired name for our son that was unique but not too “out there” and also allowed for simple nicknames. We currently either call him Caspian or Cass, but he could also opt for a more “traditional” nickname such as Ian once he’s older.
