George is a classic name, which we loved, but it also reminds us of St. George the Dragon Slayer. What little boy wouldn’t love to be named after a dragon slayer? The middle name comes from St. Maximillian Kolbe who is famous for standing up against the Nazis and for volunteering to die in place of a stranger while in Auschwitz. If that isn’t a good role model, we don’t know what is. Hopefully our little Kolbe grows up to be brave and kind like his name sakes.
