  1. I’m pregnant at the minute. We are so so excited, my partner’s name is George his father, grandfather and great-grandfather were all called George too. So to us it was a no-brainer didn’t need a second thought. I love the name and it’s not very commonly used anymore. ?

    • It’s not very common but is still a classic and I think is a good name for all phases of life. We named our son George after my grandfather, so I am biased!

  2. He’s named after his amazing Great Papa. My girls call him Baby Georgie, which I think is the cutest thing ever!

  3. Posey picked George because of Peppa Pig’s little brother! And our friend suggested Callaway and we loved it!

  4. It’s a family name and he will actually be the third. There wasn’t a ton of thought behind this choice since my husband is a JR but it fits him perfectly and we now have two children with classic names!

  5. I chose the name George because it is his father’s name. My baby is George IV. Continuing the family name is important to my husband and I never even gave it a second thought when we talked about it. It’s an older name and not as common so I do love it.

  6. I named my 9yr old son George due to my great grandma name was Georgia so i short it and put his name George after her.

  7. George is a family name which was motivation to use it. And we also really like more traditional names and gender specific names. One thing I have loved is that everyone knows how to spell it! When I first took him to his pediatrician, the receptionist asked, “Is his name spelled the way it sounds?” and I said “YES!” One of the biggest reasons we like the name George is the simplicity of knowing he’s a boy, how to spell it and how to say it!

  8. It’s my husband’s name and his father and grandfather. Plus we both love it! It’s just confusing with so many of them around!
