We first heard the name Levison because of the British Explorer Levison Wood and my husband and I liked it as a name. Upon doing some research we discovered that spelling it Leveson (derived from the Old English Leofsunu) means ‘Beloved Son’ and we really liked that. We also prefer Lev as a nickname and didn’t want it shortened to Levi. We’ve got some less-than-enthusiastic reactions to the name, but we love it and think that it will grow on others as well!
